With the increased interest in second home ownership by so many of our baby boomer population, and the need to reach that market, Larry Kinzie and Judy Dietz, both REALTORS and owners of second homes, joined to form www.ussecondhomes.com in 2005.

The intent was to build a site where REALTORS throughout the country who specialize in the second home industry could professionally market themselves and their listings. Additionally, they desired to make the site available to the general real estate agent with an occasional listing that could appeal to the second home buyer. Their combined experience of nearly 60 years of owning, managing and marketing real estate taught them the necessity of "doing it right" or not at all. The decision was made not to rush, but, to design a professional website that would be user-friendly for agents and consumers. One that can be continually and easily improved. No website is effective unless it generates hits from the right client. Determination was also made to hire only the best personnel to build and service the site as well as to budget to keep it among the most searched.

After 18 months of planning, research and development, the site was activated in February, 2007. The result is a well-designed, easy to access site that only allows professional realtors to market themselves and their properties. Potential sellers and buyers are finally able to locate agents that specialize in the geographical area and type of real estate investment they own or dream of owning.
